What Size Ring Should You Order?

What Size Ring Should You Order?

Choosing the right ring size can feel tricky, especially when you’re ordering online. The good news is, you can figure it out with a simple at-home method that doesn’t require special tools.

Here’s how:

  1. Wrap a strip of paper, string, or ribbon around your finger.
Place it at the base of the finger you want to measure.

  2. Mark the point where the ends meet.
This gives you the circumference of your finger.

  3. Measure in millimeters.
    Using millimeters helps with accuracy.

  4. Do a quick calculation.
Take your measurement and divide it by π (3.14). The result is the diameter of your finger, which is what jewellers use to match you to a ring size.

For example:

  • If the circumference is 57 mm, divide by 3.14 and you get about 18.1 mm.

  • A jeweller can translate that diameter into a ring size—in this case, roughly a size 8.

Tip: Fingers tend to swell a bit throughout the day or in warm weather. Measure in the evening for the most accurate fit.

With just a strip of paper and a simple calculation, you can confidently choose your ring size before placing your order.
